Excellent concert by Calexico last night (complete with endorsements for Border Songs from the stage)! We sold 23 CDs = $460 for people in need.
Thank you Calexico and Sergio Mendoza for truly helping make border songs what it is. Without your contributions we would not be able to raise awareness for issues at the border and most importantly, raise funds for No More Deaths. Each album purchased provides the equivalent of 29 gallons of water or the equivalent of food, blankets, or medical supplies to those in need!
In fact, just from Calexico concerts in Tucson, PHX and Flag, we have sold 53 albums which = 1,539 gallons of water (or the equivalent in food, blankets or medical supplies)!
The Border Songs CD is a compilation of spoken word and music addressing the catastrophic effects of US border policy. The CD was officially released October 12, 2012. We hope to raise nearly $100,000 for No More Deaths / No Más Muertes.

Tucson Border Songs CD Release Concert
On January 5th at 7 pm at Southside Presbyterian Church, where the Sanctuary Movement began, we will be having our Tucson Border Songs release celebration. This will be a great night of music and spoken word, we will join together as a community and will raise money for No More Deaths! We would love to see you there!
